West of England Women’s Commission celebrates International Women’s Day 2025

The new West of England Women’s Commission is hosting a panel discussion for International Women’s Day 2025 focused on women’s health.

Taking place in City Hall’s main council chamber in Bristol at 2pm on Saturday 8 March 2025, the panel forms part of the wider International Women's Day celebrations organised by Bristol Women’s Voice.

Women’s Commission Chair Penny Gane, who also co-chairs the Women’s Health Task Group, will be joined by expert speakers including: Minister for Health & Social Care Karin Smyth, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire’s Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB)’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Geeta Iyer, Director of Public Health Christina Gray, Black Mothers Matter Founder Sonah Paton and Womankind CEO Kyra Bond.
