West of England Women’s Commission is recruiting a freelance communications lead.

West of England Women’s Commission brings together leaders united by a shared mission, we work to improve the lives of women and girls across the region by addressing systemic challenges and driving meaningful change. We are a small, mission-driven not-for-profit organisation seeking an experienced freelance Communications Lead to manage and deliver all aspects of our communications function.

About the Role

The Communications Lead is responsible for overseeing and delivering external and internal communications, supporting member engagement, promoting events and reports, and strengthening our public profile.

This is a freelance position equivalent to approximately two days per month, with some flexibility required around key campaigns and events It is a strategic and hands-on role, suited to someone based in the West of England region, confident working independently.

There is a fixed fee of £8,000. The contract runs from April 2026 - March 2027 with possibility of extension.
